Owner & Managing Consultant
Cristian Balan
Cristian is a cybersecurity consultant, digital forensics specialist, retired U.S. Army National Guard Major, and educator. His career spans more than three decades of military service, computer network defense, information security, technology education, and operational leadership.
He has consulted on system administration, information security, and digital forensics for the law enforcement community and worked with public and private sector organizations. As chief of the Vermont Army National Guard Computer Network Defense Team, he led work responding to incidents on military networks.
That experience shapes a straightforward approach: understand the environment, explain the risks, and help clients make sound technical decisions.
His background includes cybersecurity teaching and coordination of the Center of Cybersecurity and Technology at SUNY Plattsburgh, as well as teaching computer and digital forensics, networking, and information security at Champlain College.
